Close-Range Attack on Military Junta Soldiers Stationed at the District Fire Department in Pakokku Township

On the morning of June 1, 2025, around 3:30 AM, military junta soldiers stationed at the District Fire Department in Pegu Township, Magway Region, were attacked in a close-range assault. The attack was reported by the PKU N PDF (People’s Defense Force).

The battle lasted for over half an hour, and initial reports indicate that 5 military junta soldiers were killed, while 5 others were injured.

As reinforcements from Battalion 101 and other subordinate military bases arrived in Pegu Township, the revolutionary forces were forced to retreat. The attack was carried out jointly by the Pegu PDF Battalion (1), Shwe Nyar Myae PDF, the Borderless People’s Defense Force, the Myingyan PDF Battalion (3), and its 4th Division.
