Pledges to Accelerate Armed Resistance, Mass Mobilization, and International Advocacy to End Dictatorship and Build a Federal Democratic Union

In a statement marking its 4th anniversary, the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) reaffirmed its commitment to achieving its revolutionary goal: the end of the military dictatorship and the establishment of a Federal Democratic Union. KNDF pledged to push forward on all fronts — mass public mobilization, international advocacy efforts, and armed resistance — to achieve this goal as quickly as possible.

The KNDF acknowledged that, although the public has consistently supported their efforts to overthrow the dictatorship, the revolutionary struggle has now extended over four years. Expressing deep regret and emotional burden, the group apologized to the public and resistance fighters for not having fulfilled their responsibility to end the dictatorship sooner.

Over the past four years, KNDF emphasized its strong commitment to democratic laws and principles, not only within its military structure but also in administrative areas under its control. The group stated that it places great value on democratic practices and governance and is determined to build an even better foundation for a peaceful, progressive federal democratic state.

KNDF expressed heartfelt gratitude to the public for their unwavering support, to allies for their solidarity and cooperation, and to those who have provided critical feedback and guidance throughout the revolution. Special honor and appreciation were extended to all resistance fighters who have bravely and persistently taken on their responsibilities without hesitation during this critical period.
