The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) captured individuals who were burning homes in Saitaung village, Hpakant, under orders from the military.

On September 13th, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) captured individuals involved in arson activities who were reportedly sent by the military in Kachin State. The KIA’s action is part of ongoing tensions and confrontations in the region, where both sides are engaged in a struggle for control. The captured individuals were allegedly responsible for setting fires in areas affected by the conflict, further escalating the situation.

On September 13th, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) captured 23 individuals involved in burning homes in Saitaung village, Hpakant. These individuals were reportedly dispatched by the military to destroy civilian properties in Kachin State.

The situation escalated following clashes between the KIA, the junta, and the Shan Nationalities Army that began on September 11th and continued until September 13th. During these clashes, homes were set on fire. The KIA seized control of the Saitaung police station on September 12th, prompting a retreat by the junta, which then intensified its arson campaign.

The military bombed Nanbo village with aircraft, resulting in the deaths of 5 civilians and injuring 8 others

On September 13th, military airstrikes on Nanbain village in Tanintharyi District resulted in the deaths of 5 civilians and injuries to 8 others.

The junta’s airstrikes on Nanbain village, located near Theinni District in northern Shan State, resulted in five civilian deaths and eight injuries. According to the MNDAA (Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army), the airstrikes struck residential areas around 7:00 p.m. on September 13th, with three of the injured reported to be in critical condition.

On the same day, the junta also conducted airstrikes in Naungcho Township and Myawaddy Township in Kayin State.

Junta Airstrikes on Naungcho: 13 Bombs Dropped

The military junta has carried out airstrikes on Naungcho, dropping 13 bombs in the area. This aggressive action has caused significant damage and casualties. Details about the exact impact and response from local defense forces are still emerging.

On September 13th, the junta launched airstrikes on Naungcho, an area controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), dropping 13 bombs. The TNLA reported that the bombs hit civilian areas, including a police station, causing damage to several buildings. There was no immediate information about civilian casualties.

Locals indicated that the airstrikes occurred after TNLA forces arrived in Naungcho and were welcomed by residents. It is suggested that the airstrikes were prompted by the junta’s sympathizers. The TNLA and allied forces reportedly took control of military outposts near Naungcho, with ongoing clashes in the area.
